Here is a sample of some of the iPhone sleeves I have made, to give you a little inspiration. They were all made using my free pattern. The pattern is very easy, and you can use any yarn you choose. An experienced crocheter will whip this up in a very short time. It would also be a great first crochet project for a beginner.

These were made using Veronica in Burgundy and Veronica in Denim from Lincraft (10 wraps/inch)
and a 7/0 crochet hook.
Both ‘Strawberries and Cream’ & ‘Cookies and Cream’ were made using one strand of Fairy Floss in Cream from Lincraft and one strand of Double Kniting (DK) acrylic yarn from Lincraft (15 wraps/inch) with a 6/0 hook.
The red sleeve in the first picture is the one currently on my iPhone. It is very tightly crocheted, and about 6mm (0.25 inch) thick. While in its sleeve, I have dropped my phone (accidentally!) from over 1m (3+ feet) several times on to tiles and concrete. But the phone does not even have one mark on it.
Please note: I obviously do not recommend dropping your iPhone! 😛
I also had a pleasant surprise while working with the fluffy cream yarn. Because of the way the pattern is worked, and the direction crochet stitches are made in, the inside of the fluffy sleeves is pure cream fluff! No pink or brown showing at all. It feels like the inside of an Ugg Boot. 🙂 Perfect for protecting your technology.

Cute! I added an additional row with 2 single crochet in each stitch. This makes a nice little lip to make it easier to put on. 🙂

I added a slip stitch in every stitch all the way around the edge as a finish, and it looks nice and clean at the top
Thanks for the pattern! I was wondering how to make a phone sleeve without having to do any sewing. And this page of yours came in so handy, as the candyshell of my iPhone 3GS has just worn out, and I can’t find any other protective cover for such an old model. Not ready to import one from an overseas online store either, as I might be upgrading to a new phone soon. So it’s totally no cost for me to make one with existing yarn and hooks 🙂
